Good Morning fellow members,
I encourage any member prepared to stand for the 2017 committee to complete a nomination form and email back to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
I omitted to remind members of this last post – emailing your nomination to our address speeds up the process.
You will find a nomination form attached to a previous post.

You don’t need to specify your intention to act in the role of Vice President, rather be prepared to stand for that position at the first committee meeting. The executive positons are by election by the new committee at the first committee meeting following the AGM.

The Vice President is an essential position for stability of BLP and is part of an equally vital process for succession planning. There has been no VP for the last two years. The role of the VP is one of acting in the role of President when required and taking leadership of key projects when delegated by the President.

We have a non-elected position known as the Past President (Ian Boyd currently act in this role) and this is filled by the outgoing President for at least the first 12 months to act as an advisor on BLP policy to both the President and Vice President. Thus, a new VP should not feel ‘alone’ when the President is unavailable.

The committee looks forward to your nomination.

Regards
Graham
