Hi Guys,
I'm wondering if anyone here has, and uses, the Morcombe Field guide for Australian Birds?
I specifically want to know how you get birds out of the Alphabetical Section and into the My Birds section?
Tried as many different ways as I can think of and I can't get them to change into the My Birds Folder?
I have even tried contacting the Morcombe technical people and spoke with a lady by the name Linda, and she assures me that "You should be able to do it."
I tried a second time for a bit better response and she said that she would contact the technical people and never bothered getting back to me.
I have an Android system and can't use the Pizzey and Knight Guide because that is for Iphone systems only.
Any help would be greatly appreciated Guys.
Bruce

Hi Bruce,

I use the Morcombe app on my Android phone. When you are looking at the entry for a single species, the menu that opens from the "three squares" icon at the right of the title bar contains five items: Map, Info On, Wikipedia, Log, Home.

If you tap the Log item, you get a page where you can enter details of your sighting of that - and you must remember to tap the Save icon to actually save the data you enter! Once you've done that, the species will appear in My List; if you enter multiple sighting details for a single species, you will see all those in the list. The species will still apppear in the Alphabetic Index - you don't actual move the guide's data from one list to another; the My List is a separate list of what you've seen, where and when, and with any other comments that you chose to enter about the sighting.

Hope this helps, Rob

Thanks Rob,
That certainly makes more sense than what I was trying to do.

Hi Guys,
I'm including this reply from the Morcombe people. . .

"Hi Bruce,

I received the following response from our developer:

I'm not sure what the "My Birds folder" is? To answer his question, I would suggest that he either use the quick search or, even better, log the birds he wants quick access to and then they'll appear in "My List" where they can then be accessed quickly by tapping on the bird's common name. If this doesn't work or solve the issue could we please get some more details so that I can try assist?

Thanks! "

This arrived just the other day. . .FWIW

Thanks Bryon,
When I contacted Pizzey and Knight through their email address they told me that they were working on an Android solution, so it appears as if it's already out and the Authors don't know about it yet. . .
Thanks again,
Bruce
