Hi All,

My name is Siham and I'm based in Melbourne.
I'm a wildlife lover but was not really into birds until I discovered the black cockatoos while volunteering in a shelter in Perth.
I enjoy photography in general (landscape, wildlife) but would like to improve my "birds" skills and learn more about species.
I use a 600D Canon user with a Sigma 150-500 lens

I look forward sharing some pictures and meeting other photographers

Welcome to Birdlife Photography. I live in Sydney but most of the members seem to live in Melbourne, so you will have plenty of opportunity other birders.
The forum is the place to improve your photography knowledge if you take advantage of it.

Welcome! Not many of our new members introduce themselves here, and it's really great when they do, as it means they're intending to be active members of our community. You'll probably see my name on lots of things, as I'm the website administrator, the newsletter editor, and the longest-standing committee member. I'm also currently, together with Graham Cam, looking after our Photo Competitions - you've got a couple of days to enter the current one - and I'm also one of several image moderators. Explore the site - there's lots that I suspect many of our members neglect - and join in. Contribute, and learn.

There is a lot going on here and I encourage you to engage by sharing ideas and experience, asking questions and participating in our activities. This Forum is a good place to ask questions on a wide variety of topics and if you would like some feedback on your work, then try posting an image to the Critique Gallery - don't be shy, there are a lot of good people here who will respond with help and encouragement.
