I have recently started entering the bird ID competitions. I'm sure that there are many members who, like myself, need to increase their bird identification skills and who see the competition as a stimulus to open our numerous field guides and other resources to answer the questions.
This can take me quite some time and I tend to do it over multiple sessions. There is currently no Save option on the page and answers are only saved when submitted. Partially complete answers are lost if the page is closed (as I found tonight when I accidentally closed the web page).
I'd like to suggest that there be a Save facility within the ID competitions so that we can partially complete the answers and come back to it at a later time.
I wonder if other members would support this suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion, Paul. We'll have a look at whether this is feasible, and implement it if possible. Unfortunately, that won't be in time for the current ID Challenge; our coding expert is about to head overseas for a month or so.

Great idea from Paul, it is great having the ID challenges but not having a save option is a pain when have to redo a lot of work.
