It will be sad to see the lens go, but progress marches on. I'm sure there was some reluctance to switch from film to digital, most people would say, that was a good move.
I suppose, the main thing is the quality of the image, if it can produce a better end product then I won't be complaining. To also be more affordable is a great bonus.
Further down the track we may be taking holographic pictures, how amazing would that be?.
