DPReview is reporting that Canon has developed a version of DPP for iPad called DPP Express, which works in connection with the Camera Connect app and provides a suite of raw processing tools for Canon files in iPad. It is limited to .CR3 raw files apparently (plus JPEG).

I have not tried it (or even checked to see if it's available in Australia) as while I use Camera Connect and ipad for backup up when travelling, I don't do any processing of the photos on the tablet. However I would be interested in other users views on this.

Personally, I don't use DPP as while it has some nice features I find its user interface clunky and also the lack of serious and flexible local adjustment tools, particularly for sharpening and noise reduction, makes it an imcomplete package for my needs. However it is good to see that Canon keeps developing it and perhaps the cross over between tablet and PC versions will result in improvements to both over time.
