CommentWhile sitting quietly waiting for the ducks to hopefully come closer this little fellow came out of the reeds right next to us and went about its business completely oblivious to the shutter noises. The main issue I had with this bird is its closeness. You see I had 1000mm of focal length for the ducks and this guy was inside the shortest focal distance for that amount of glass. I had to wait until it moved off a little before I could get focus.
EquipmentCanon 7D Mark II with 500mm F4 and 2x Teleconverter mounted on tripod with a gimbal head. Legs of the tripod set to their lowest setting. 1/800 F8 ISO 1600 +0.33 EV. Center weighted average
