Conservation Status = Near threatened

This species was misidentified as Salvin’s Albatross x1, Grey-headed Albatross x4

The Buller’s Albatross is a small graceful albatross that changes little with age. Some identifying features are:

- Pointed wings in flight
- Flattened white crown
- Grey ‘hood’
- Broad underwing margins
- Dark area in front of eyes
- Bright yellow stripe on both mandibles
