CommentI had just arrived home yesterday when I saw (or rather heard) a dozen Carnaby's heading my way. As they settled into the street trees I ran for the camera, and was able to quickly take this shot as they ripped into the tree bark searching for grubs. A short time later a lone cockatoo came past screeching and they all took off.... perhaps it was a scout that had found a food source. They have made regular visits to these old trees digging out the fat grubs, but I had not seen them for several months.
