CommentThis was one of those awkward images to both capture and edit, from 2 years ago.
Being an owl, the use of 'fill flash' is not recommended to combat the back light. How bright do I make it when processing?.
DPP4. No crop, camera turned on side. White Balance Adj; Auto. Picture Style; Faithful. Gamma Adj; L 0.00 M -0.34.R 0.96.
Shadow 3.0. Highlight -5.0. Sharpness 5.0 (because of large downsize to come). Saturation 1.0 (to replace colour, due to substantial brightening of shadows). Convert to 16Bit Tiff.
PSE 14. Downsize and Sharpen 73%. Radius 0.7 pix. Reduce Noise. Neat Image add on.
