Black Falcon

Black Falcon
Comment:I love this photo of the Black Falcon because tells me a story of a bird that has seen and been through it all. I was all surprised that I ended up with such a sharp image with a hand-held camera tracking such a fast-moving bird. The falcon was circling the Turkey's Nest on the cattle station and I watched it for a while before I could get a clear shot. To me, this image truly symbolizes the battle-scarred hunter, and the name Black Falcon truly suits this bird. Brookdale has many raptors on the property, but this loner was the only Black Falcon I seen in the week I was there. It was also my first sighting ever so a special photo for me.
