Striated Heron
Comment:Striated Heron (ssp. macrorhyncha). This heron was so intent on catching its meal from among a shoal of small fish in front of its perch it was prepared to ignore the flies which kept landing on its back and tail. The white blossom on the water is from the Barringtonia racemosa tree which flowers at night
