Silver Gull

Silver Gull
CommentI entered this photo as I think nothing says ‘beach’ to me more than Silver Gulls and their antics. Whether it’s stealing a feed, begging for chips, squawking, fighting or just constantly patrolling the shoreline, they never miss an opportunity - so (if you’ll pardon the pun) when this gull flew past and said “cheeze for the camera” I had to oblige and take a photo. I was pleased that the camera caught the bird with its wings positioned so as to not cast shadows over itself, allowing a clear view of its underwing feather structure.
