Black Honeyeater
CommentAreas of the Gibson Desert had up to five plants flowering that had honeyeaters feeding on them. Hid in the morning shade of a Grevillea wickhamii with several nearby Grevillea eriostachya (Flame Grevillea) flowering that were visited by four species of honeyeater. The Black Honeyeaters would hover briefly near the Flame Grevillea flowers before taking nector from them still hovering.
