CommentIt was a very cool morning at Victoria River and this Blue Winged Kookaburra found a good spot in the early morning sun to warm up. As the bird was content to sit still for long periods I thought I would lower the camera's ISO to 100 to try and get a rich colour range. The rufous tail with black bars indicate that this is a female.
EquipmentCanon 7D Mark II with Canon 600mm f4/L USM non IS lens at 600mm, 1/320 sec, f5.6, ISO 100 on tripod.
