The Plains Wanderer is coming too.
DPITB was fab last year. Still sometimes refer to the workshop notes that we received - guess I'm just a slow learner.

Hi Julie,

Having missed Newcastle due to Brisbane's 'mega-storm' Laurie and I don't intend to miss this one. I lived in Melbourne for many years and never made it to the treatment plant. This time for sure! Richard Slaughter.

I hope the WTP lives up to expectations. There will be plenty of migratory waders to see but the waterbirds have taken advantage of the the rains in inland Australia and have dispersed as far as the Channel Country. There are usually upwards of 120,000 ducks but at the moment the population is way down, perhaps 5,000.

Hi all,
Really looking forward to the next campout at Geelong. John & I have got our campsite booked already. Interested in the pelagic trip too. Any chance of including the digiscoping topic that had to be cancelled last time at Newcastle?
thanks
Jenny

Hi Guys,
I'm really interested in becoming part of this group and would also consider 'sharing' with like-minded members for accommodation closer to the event.
As for "The Pelagic" session, I think that it was Ian Wilson that mentioned Port Fairy? Gee, that's a really long way to go when there is a very large breeding colony of Australasian Gannets at Popes Eye just out of Queenscliff. I remember swimming amongst these birds many times when I was a SCUBA instructor.
