I have just read Georgina Steytler's e-book "The Art of Bird Photography" and really enjoyed it.
Having worked in the engineering field all my life I have the tendency to want everything level, precise, etc and so changing my habits is hard.
I have been wanting to get away from the bird on a stick/rock photos for a while and was looking forward to reading it after Georgina's presentation at Geelong.
It has inspired me to try and recognise the opportunities when I see them and stop and think what I am doing instead or firing off a burst of photos thinking only of a quality shot.
I have attached a photo taken after Geelong inspired by Georgina's winning photo. I first thought it was a blown out shot for the bin but when I played with it I liked it and it is now hanging on the wall.
I you havn't read the book yet I encourage you to do so and lets see some interesting photos in the Creative photos gallery
