Tue 23Yellow-billed Spoonbill

Delighted to find a YB Spoonbill feeding in the NW corner of the lagoon. Harassed by the multitude of Silver Gulls but settled in for the evening. Only 5th Ebird record on the northern beaches. Pics to follow eBird checklist

Mon 22Satin Flycatcher
Coutts Crossing Village
Adult female Satin Flycatcher foraging in front yard. Second only record of this species at this site, the first also a female. Very rare on the Clarence lowlands but possibly overlooked when migrating due to similarity to Leaden Flycatcher.

Have seen a female eastern spinebill in our suburban garden in the last few weeks. Last seen was a male bird 2 years ago . Prior to that I had not seen it for years. (Moderator’s note: occasionally seen in Adelaide suburbs in autumn).
