CommentManual control, spot metering, single point continuous focus on eye
f/9 @ 1/250s ISO 200.
Taken under overhanging bushes in very low ambient light 5:40pm
Flash arrangement was somewhat conventional:
Master - main light source @ 1/32 power. With Better Beamer and mounted on an off-camera bracket.
No.#1 @ 1/16th power. Positioned approx. 1m and 45deg both forward and high to the left/front (looking towards subject). This was angled downwards to produce shadow on lower edges of stick and bird.
No.#2 approx. .5m from and level to the right/front @ 1/16 power.

Processed: Nikon NX-D - Raw file cropped approx. 15% for composition, minor levels, minor sharpening then converted to 16 Bit TIFF.
PSE 14 - Cloned small obtrusive stick and two unnecessary distracting eye catch-lights, BG NR, re-sized for posting, final minor sharpening.
