CommentGoing by the illustrations and descriptions in the latest edition of “The Australian Bird Guide” I think this is an adult female ssp picumnus.
EquipmentCanon 7D Mark II with Canon 600mm f4/L USM non IS lens at 600mm, 1/160 sec, f7.1, ISO 400 on tripod. Using Ian Wilson’s DPP4 notes and Glenn Pure’s Neat Image notes.
