CommentSpotted Pardalotes, with their polka dot faces and colourful outfits must be the circus clowns of the bird world. I found them dancing amidst the leaves, and engaging in all kinds of acrobatics, around a eucalypt in the northern corner of Royal Park. As fellow member Jim Schultz notes in his recent post of a striking image of a Pardalote pair, they are certainly very tricky to photograph, moving as they do so rapidly from leaf to leaf. The photo I have taken shows a male, with his yellow throat and strongly pronounced polka dot markings, as he perches momentarily on a stem.
