CommentA number of honeyeaters where making a noise which made me look into a very thick pepper tree where I found this immature collared sparrowhawk eating the remains of what I can only assume was a honeyeater. By the small size of the sparrowhawk I can only assume that it is a male.
EquipmentCamera: Nikon D500; Lens: Nikkor 500mm, f/5.6, AFS, hand held at 1/640th sec. f/7.1 ISO 3600. Noise reduction used in post processing.
