CommentJuvenile with dark tail tip and mainly dark upper-wing, white leading edge to wings (all black on Northern Royal), and black cutting edge on bill (not on Wandering type). The bird is taking advantage of extra lift in the ground effect zone (height above water less than half wingspan).
EquipmentCanon R5 + 400 mm f/4 DO II + 1.4x III extender, hand-held.
Manual, partial metering, f/7.1, 1/3200 sec, ISO 800.
Processed using DPP4 and PSE14 with Neat Image plug-in.
