CommentA lifer for me and a rare opportunity to capture this bird in the daylight with its eyes open as they typically sleep deep in foliage during the daytime. Note the upright plumes on the head which give it an alien like appearance. Nice sharp head and eye and interesting composition in the Casuarina as I really had no choice.
