CommentAdult ssp whitlocki from central and northern Western Australia. This subspecies has a narrower white tip on the tail than the nominate race lophotes. Captured in soft early morning light with the sky reflection modulated by a wonderful ripple pattern.
EquipmentCanon 1Dx II + 600 mm f/4 III + 1.4x III extender, hand-held. Manual, partial metering, AI Servo spot AF, f/5.6, 1/1600 sec, ISO 1000. Processed using DPP4 and PSE14 with Neat Image plug-in.
