CommentAs there are a lack of images this species I will add a couple more. I initially thought that the first and third birds (in focus) might be first year birds due to their darker appearance and brighter and more abundant spotting on feather edges. I assessed a likelihood of there being some juveniles present from seemingly pristine flight feathers but closer observation proved this not the case. Having sort expert help I am now aware these birds are extremely difficult to age, even in the hand.
