CommentUnusual to see Curlew Sandpipers resting on the beach at high tide. The nearby rock platform was inundated by heavy seas forcing all the normal visitors such as Stints, Terns, Cormorants, Sanderlings to seek out a quite corner of the beach where they can rest undisturbed. When approaching birds resting be mindful to back-off if they makes signs of becoming concerned about your presence. They may uncover their bill from between their wings, stand up, take a few steps away from you, look directly at you or the ones 'on the outer of the group' will fly away. Processed with PS Elements 13 and neat Image.
EquipmentCanon EOS 7D II, Canon EF100-400 F4.5-5.6L II USM + EF 1.4x III. ISO 400 f9 1/2000
