CommentOne could be tempted to name this image: ‘Don’t you dare returning with empty Talons’, but I only pluck up the courage to do so, if BirdLife will take the title, for what it is and not put anything political into it. On the prowl with the camera, I came upon this female eastern osprey sitting alone in a dead tree. Through the lens I watched her signalling to someone I couldn’t see. I guessed it was her mate arriving and soon enough he appeared and I overheard an angry exchange of rich language over the rattling of my camera. The image says it all and this is the best out of about a dozen that I captured during a very brief encounter
