CommentThree members of this species found their way to Frankston earlier this year. We found this solitary male feeding voraciously on she-oak cones and quite accepting of the attention of a group of birders.
EquipmentCanon 5D Mark IV and Canon 100-400 II lens with 1.4x extender at 420 mm, 1/1000, f8,
ISO 3200, monopod.
Processed using DPP4 and Photoshop 2020 with Neat Image noise reduction.
