CommentI was extremely anxious for the Tawny when this Currawong flew in to be face to face but the Currawongs weren't as fierce as the Magpies. This behaviour was more curious and there was no other aggressive interaction from this stage by the currawong. I'm really unsure as to whether the Magpies and Currawongs were seeing the Tawny as a threat to their own, or a threat to the insects they'd be feeding on. It was an incredible 20 minutes of action to witness but extremely tense because I was sure the Tawny would be injured. When I left, it was ok.
