CommentThe best kind of birding is sitting on a beach in the sun waiting for the tide to bring the birds to you. I did not crop closer as I felt the rock was an important part of the composition. A small section of seaweed has been cloned out from the lower left corner and a second reflective light removed from the bird's lower eye.
EquipmentCanon EOS 7D with Canon 100-400 II @ 400mm. Evaluative Metering, AI Servo AF, Manual Exposure, Speed 1/2000, f 8.0, ISO 400. Processed in DPP4 and PSE 14 as per Ian Wilson's notes.
