CommentThis Red tailed Black Cockatoo is feeding on Cape Lilac Tree (also called White Cedar). The plumage of this bird is the result of a mutation that has caused the loss of one or more pigments in some feathers and is often referred to as Leucism in birds . This bird has been observed in Bunbury for the last two seasons, and is often in the company of 6 -14 other Red-tailed Black-Cockatoos.
