CommentIt's always a beautiful surprise when an EYR comes close by, but that surprise usually has its own challenges. This time part shade/ part light underneath the pepper tree canopy. I only had him there for a few seconds. I would like to know what great photographers think of first after they decide to proceed with a shot in this situation, is it ISO, Speed, Light metering, Aperture, composition. Is there a helpful thought process I can apply when under pressure to capture a bird I don't see very often. Could I have adjusted my settings to make this photo better? Hand Held.
