| Comment | This Little Raven seemed determined to complete its nest in as few trips as possible. After gathering this material from ground litter, it flew off and disappeared into the foliage atop a tall eucalypt. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Equipment | Equipment: Nikon Z8, Nikkor Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S, Nikkor Z TC-1.4x Settings: 840mm, f/9, 1/800s, ISO-3200 Workflow: Processed in Lightroom and sent to Photoshop for further edits, downsize, sharpen and export. Field notes: I was alerted to the bird by rustling behind me, and with the teleconverter attached, was too close to the subject to fit the whole bird into the frame. Processing notes: There is perhaps a little motion blur in the head, as evidenced by the frames either side of this one, which showed the bird was turning its head during this frame. Additionally, the hackles appear a little sharper than parts of the head that are on the same focal plane. | ||||||||||||||||||
