| Comment | The north-east Kimberley is the intersection of the east (robusta) and west (melanura) subspecies. The females are easily distinguished with the eastern subspecies having yellow rather than grey/white breast and flanks. I only saw the subspecies robusta in the mangroves around Kalumbaru. | ||||||||||||||||||
