| Comment | A large eucalypt near the dam wall has an ideal basking branch on which to soak up the early morning sun. Seemingly unworried by the walkers, joggers and cyclists, the relaxed herons ignore the passing parade. A family of herons has bred in the area in recent years, and the youngsters can often be photographed sitting on the steel fence within a couple of metres of the track. | ||||||||||||||||||
