| Comment | Much to my surprise, after spotting this bird by the river bank and getting out of my car, this Common Sandpiper allowed me time to support the camera on the spare tyre cover of my vehicle, motor still running. It is not a bird I have seen often, and I have so far just photographed it on this one occasion. The bird looks like a juvenile to me. | ||||||||||||||||||
