| Comment | Based on location, at the southern end of the Great Dividing Range, I think this is nominate race olivacea. The grey head suggests it is an adult male. At this time of year, autumn-winter, appears to be silent and solitary. Unobtrusive and restless in dense understory of Mountain Ash forest, often alighting on the ground to forage. Poor light and an agile bird usually requires exposure compromises. | ||||||||||||||||||
