| Comment | A Black-shouldered Kite obliged me with a portrait just as I was leaving Werribee via Paradise Rd. The Kite was certainly putting its eponymous black shoulder to the fore for the portrait, as too its very large red-brown eyes, all the better for seeing even small prey as it hovers against the sun over open grass or wetlands scanning for small mammals, small birds, reptiles, frogs, grasshoppers or fish. | ||||||||||||||||||
