| Comment | Camping out at Camel Soak, I woke up one morning to the sound of a "bird" calling. The call was beautiful so I donned my gear grabbed the camera and set off into the bush to find this "bird". I kept following the song until finally I saw a flicker near me. I slowly crept up to this branch to find a gorgeous Pallid Cuckoo singing its little heart out. My own heart did a skip and a jump as this was a lifer for me and I couldn't have been happier!! I love the tones in this pic depicting the colours of the cuckoo in camouflage with the Australian bush. | ||||||||||||||||||
