| Comment | Affection between a pair of Royal Penguins on Macquarie Island. Female is the smaller of the two birds and with a smaller bill. Apart from the wispy long chrome-yellow, orange and black plumes, the other characteristics of this species are the massive bill and the bare skin around the base of the bill, forms a prominent deep-pink triangle at gape. | ||||||||||||||||||
