| Comment | Over the years I have seen Swamp Harriers on many occasions. They are a very wary bird and my usual view of them is of their rump flying away as they rise out of the reeds. I do have several good flight shots of them and I notice that most of the images of them on this BLP web site are flight shots. This the first time one has remand perched for me. It's a juvenile bird hence the dark mahogany colour - which is highlighted by the early morning light - just after dawn. | ||||||||||||||||||
