| Comment | I had just returned to my car after closing Gate 4 at Lake Borrie, WTP, Werribee, and was about to set off, only to find Welcome Swallows deciding to take a rest on my bonnet and side mirrors right in front of my eyes. Such bright and spirited birds. How could I refuse them a moment’s rest after all their efforts in tackling the swarms of mosquitoes and crane flies in this vicinity. So, as any self-respecting birder paparazzi would do, I began clicking away. Here are two already sitting on my bonnet and another about to land. From their relatively duller rufous colours, these are probably juveniles. | ||||||||||||||||||
