| Comment | This proved to be an inspiring augur for a morning’s birding at Werribee. A group of Silver Gulls flew under the Harvest Moon (as it is called in the northern hemisphere harvest time at a time when the Moon comes closer to the Earth). The moon was still quite bright despite the sun having risen and suffusing the gulls in its golden glow. Whole flocks of Silver Gulls were passing across at the time, no doubt looking for the most promising stretches for fishing and foraging along the coastline. | ||||||||||||||||||
