CommentA rare visitor to the ACT. Little Bitterns have successfully bred at the Jerrabomberra Wetlands this year (see image 62023). It seems likely (given their rarity) that this is one of the parents, but I can't say for sure as the juvenile was nowhere in sight. This bird was hunting in the water directly in front of the hide.
