CommentAdult, ssp boobook from coastal and sub-coastal Vic, NSW, s. Qld and e. SA. Characterized by the string of white spots on the scapulars and prominent white X-pattern of the face. This individual was found on a day-roost at eye-level in shady under-story vegetation.
EquipmentCanon 5Ds + 600 mm f/4 III, hand-held.
Manual, spot metering, AI Servo spot AF, f/5.6, 1/200 sec, ISO 2500.
Processed using DPP4 and PSE14 with Neat Image plug-in.
