CommentThis Tawny Frogmouth is part of a family often found in an old peppercorn tree at Coburg Lake. Its eyes were wide open having spotted and begun to closely watch a park walker with a dog directly below it. The relatively small size suggests a juvenile, perhaps a female with the rufuous patch on the neck.
