CommentI had a wonderful experience recently when a friend (Phil Leahy) took me in his boat out to the Pope's Eye about 1k off Queenscliff. The resident colony of Australasian Gannets were very obliging. They gave me plenty of opportunity to try out the focal system of my new Canon R5. I was impressed with the birds and the camera. I like the attitude of the bird in this image as the bird slows before landing - to evaluate the landing options.

1/3,200th sec at f/6.3 , ISO 2000.
Processed with LightRoom V12 (with AI Noise Reduction) with selective sharpening of the subject and further background Noise reduction in PhotoShop with NeatImage V9.
