CommentI love photographing big birds in flight at full stretch, when every detail of their wings is visible. In this pelican's wing geometry and structure you can see the origins of much of the aerodynamic engineering of modern aircraft wings.

Processing: Adobe CC2015 Lightroom/Photoshop, noise reduction with Neat Image plugin.
