| Comment | I'd watched this bird make a few passes at the back of the boat and liked the way it banked into the wind. I was keen to try and capture this movement with Tasman Island and some of the ocean in the background. I didn't quite get as much ocean within the frame as I would have liked but very happy nonetheless with this shot of this southern ocean vagrant. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Equipment | Canon EOS R5, Canon RF 100-500mm. Handheld at 472mm, exposed at 1/3200 secs, f/8.0 on ISO 1000. Manual. Processed using DPP4 (Ian Wilson's notes) & Lightroom with Topaz De-Noise plug-in for noise reduction. | ||||||||||||||||||
